Your metabolism may be elevated for several hours after a tough workout such as circuit weight training or athletic drills. Hourly calories burned post-workout equals up to 20% of the total calories burned during your workout. So if you burned 600 calories doing athletic drills, you could burn up to an additional 120 calories afterwards.
