Sloper Volunteer Workday Group 
The YMCA Camp Sloper Outdoor Center is fortunate to have a dedicated and committed group of volunteers who are continually improving our facility for the campers and members of our YMCA. Community Service 
We have many opportunities and projects for teens and adults to complete community service hours for school, college, church or court appointed obligations. Please contact Kristin Kelly at 860-426-9519 for details on completing community service hours.

Eagle Scout Program 
The YMCA Camp Sloper Outdoor Center is proud to collaborate with local Boy Scout Troops to complete their Eagle Scout Projects. Construction Projects
Are you a handy man or handy woman?  If so, we always have small projects that need to be done around our facilities.  Anything from building a storage cabinet or constructing picnic tables.  Please contact Mark Pooler at 860-426-9508 for details on Eagle Scout project options.
 

Committee Volunteer Work 
Our YMCA is governed by a group of volunteers who serve on various committees. Teen Volunteer Program - Grades 6-10
Designed to help fulfill community service hours and give back to the community.  Members work on a variety of projects and tasks that positively affect the lives of others in our Y and our community.  Meets every Wednesday from 3-5 PM, November through April.  Contact Justin Hubeny at 860-621-8194 to register or for more information.

Leaders Club Program at the Y - Grades 6-8
Leaders Club is a dedicated group of teens focused on giving back to the community and developing leadership skills. During Leaders Club, teens will be learning what it takes to be a good leader; they will also learn how to create, plan, organize, lead and evaluate community service events. The Leaders Club program can be used for volunteer service hours for school, church and other requirements. Leaders Club designs and produces an opportunity to give back to the Legacy Project (past projects have included designing the Teen Center and building a school in the Dominican Republic). Internships 

We have many opportunities for high school, college, and graduate school internships.  As the largest social service agencies in Southington, we can provide internship opportunities in the area of health and wellness, outdoor education and recreation, sports management, administration, fund development, accounting, human resources and more. TOGETHERHOOD
